Conclusions
The website description says, "The MX-DAC is a tremendous performer. It has ultra low distortion, very wide bandwidth and low noise. The technical performance of the MX-DAC is on a par with any other DAC at any price." At any price? There are DACs at less than 1/7th the price of MX-DAC which run circles around it in every objective score. Next sentence states a bunch of specs which as I explained, is not in sync with their one manual or what I measured. Regardless, this is embarrassing level of performance today. Company needs to retool this platform and build something competitive.

I can't recommend the Musical Fidelity MX-DAC.

Le misure su un dac non contano niente. Anche il mio Rega non è chissà cosa alle misure ma suona benissimo. Idem il PS audio nuwave, che ha numerosissimi estimatori. 
PS. Sono uno che consulta abitualmente le misure di ampli e diffusori.

... ci sarebbe il TEAC... dovrebbe essere identico al mio UDH-01 doppio BurrBrown PCM1795 ma aggiornato... come qualità mi sembra meglio del MF MX ad un prezzo inferiore... forse usato lo potresti trovare...

Certo...bisogna solo metterlo alla prova nel proprio impianto prima di giudicarlo al di là delle misure.
Difatti io uso ancora un "umile" dacmagic100 che nelle specifiche risulta antico ma suona meglio di un paio di topping recenti che mi son fatto prestare.

... questo suona dolce e poco affaticante come i vecchi dac, puoi prenderlo e ridarlo entro un mese se non ti piace... io ho il modello precedente come dac accanto al computer ed è veramente ottimo...
