@nick ciao, il motivo è da ricercare nel minor accesso alla rete.

Usando infatti dei buffer “generosi” nel dimensionamento si riduce la necessità di I/O sulla rete e verso il dac e questo comporta generalmente un miglioramento nelle prestazioni.

La quantità di I/O operata dalle app è un parametro importante per quanto riguarda le prestazioni, anche JPlay fo iOS ha un parametro che serve proprio a regolare la quantità di accessi alla rete.

Comunque non è farina del mio sacco, avevo trovato il suggerimento leggendo le note di Marco Curti (Squeezelite /C-3PO) su Squeezelite e dopo averne toccato con mano i vantaggi chiesi (e ottenni) la modifica per la gestione dei buffer allo sviluppatore di RoPieee.
