Eh si. In uscita una nuova rimasterizzazione. Sacd pcm vinile. Die walkure in 4 sacd tanto per spennare meglio. 

Io posseggo

1. L'edizione in vinile originale inglese (presa su ebay. UK a sole 220 gbp) 

2. Il bluray audio

3. Gli sacd esoteric (pescati nei torrenti. Suono eccezionale) 

Non mi avranno ovviamente ma aspetto i recensori audiofili che la e salteranno come definitiva (su Facebook hanno già cominciato). 

Tra l'altro i nastri originali sono andati perduti e misteriosamente il riversame ti digitale fu fatto a 24@44.1k se non sbaglio

Dal 9 dicembre è disponibile su qobuz a 24 /192.

Vedo solo rheingold e walkure. Tolgo dai favoriti i vecchi 44.1k e li rimpiazzo con questi. Grazie

Ho anche io tra i favoriti i vecchi 44/24 ma non trovo molte differenze rispetto a questi nuovi. E tu?

Utilizzando i servizi di streaming ho avuto la possibilità di confrontare direttamente il primo Ring di Solti in 24/44, quello in MQA in 24/88 e questo recente in 24/192…per le giornate uscite fino ad ora..

Si deve tenere presente che la registrazione nativa DECCA è assolutamente favolosa, fatta con apparecchiature a valvole su specifiche della casa inglese e in quella sala acusticamente inarrivabile che era la SofienSaal a Vienna (purtroppo poi distrutta da un incendio..).

Del Ring di Solti ho due raccolte complete in CD (una che fa parte di un cofanettone dedicato a Solti acquistata anni fa a NYCity e l’altra presa in blocco ad un’asta … a 2 euro a CD…!).

Ho anche i vinili Decca, ma solo quelli della prima giornata …

Potendo scegliere, senza pagare un centesimo in più, ecco devo dire che l’ultima rimasterizzazione a 24/192 ha un suono ancora più bello, più vero, più naturale..

E quindi, certo, ascolto questa ultima, perché appunto non spendo un centesimo in più..

Ma, a dire il vero, non c’è tutta questa differenza con quella iniziale a 24/44, se non per gli archi un pelino meno “reali” e i fiati meno in evidenza, e le veci femminili “un pelino meno rifinite” …

This Japanese edition exclusively features Hybrid SACD format (CD Stereo / SACD Stereo). Slipcase packaging faithfully replicating its original LP artwork. Comes with a booklet.

This release is the one from the major project commemorating the 110th anniversary of the birth and 25th anniversary of the death of Sir Georg Solti, the conductor who was responsible for the project to record the complete studio recording of Wagner's great work "Der Ring des Nibelungen."

The first ever complete studio recording of "Der Ring des Nibelungen" completed by Solti between 1958 and 1965 will be released from November 2022 to May 2023.

This 2022 release uses DSD masters produced in 2022 from the original 1958 stereo master tapes. Directed by Andrew Wedman, formerly of Emil Berliner Studios, the tapes were tuned with a Studer A820 machine, a Weiss analog-to-digital converter, and a proprietary workstation that records the output. Some of the 38 original master tapes, the oldest of which were 65 years old, were in need of editorial repair and oxide stripping. The tapes in poor condition were successfully restored, and mastered anew at 24-bit/192 kHz high resolution. Mastering was done by DECCA engineer Philip Sidney.

Aggiungo ulteriori informazioni, perchè in Giappone, la Stereo Sound, etichetta "audiofila" che si rivolge principalmente al mercato Giapponese, ha pubblicato nel 2018 tutta la Saga sempre in formato SACD.

■Master tape used for the SACD

The production master used for this SACD is the safety analog master tape that had been kept for the emergency use and unfortunately got forgotten for a long time.
It had been made by the Decca Record Company in the beginning of the 1970s as a safety master tape, copying directly from the 1/4-inch original analog master tape on a one-to-one basis, and been provided to the King Records in Japan which was the importer and distributor of the Decca records at that time. It would have been used only if any flaws in the metal master prepared for the LP recordings had been found.
But, for its limited usage (only used for the emergency) it had not been on a written record, and consequently, its whereabouts had become unknown. However, thanks to persistent searching by the Universal Music Japan, it was finally discovered and we got the privilege to be given a license by Decca to make a fresh transfer from this safety analog master tape.

The master source currently used by Decca for Solti's Ring transfer is the digital master tape, commonly known as "James Lock Remaster", which was made by Decca mastering engineer James Lock who had assisted John Culshaw on the original Ring sessions.
Assigned by Decca to de-hiss the Ring for the 1997 edition CD, Lock made new 48/24 transfers (PCM/48kHz/24bit) from the original analog tapes, applying processing treatments such as equalizing and noise reduction.
Since the original analog master tapes were too deteriorated to make a new transfer (that was said by Decca), all digital discs and digital files that have been issued since 1997, without any exception, were made by using this "James Lock Remaster" as a source.
Therefore, our SACD is the first and only transfer in the world, digitized from the precious master source that had been stored before remastering was applied.

■DSD Recording by Flat Transfer

We have done the digital editing for the SACD in NIPPON COLUMBIA's mastering studio, and made flat transfers from the analog master tapes converting to DSD signal (digital format of SACD) with a sampling rate of 2.8MHz: playback was done on the STUDER A820 Analog Master Recorder, which had been meticulously tuned by the greatest mastering engineer in Japan, Shigeru Buzawa.
With an aim to make a DSD master as close to the analog master tape as possible, the whole system, including cables (digital/analog/AC), was finely tuned, and state-of-the-art equipments were also utilized; Merging Technologies' Pyramix System for conversion; Esoteric Master Clock Generator G01X to regulate clock timing accuracy.

Nemmeno io. Ascoltati oggi in comparazione. Quelli nuovo @192k hanno meno fruscio ma poco meno. I migliori so o ancora gli esoteric dsd che mi paiono più fedeli ai bassi livelli e con le voci più naturali. Quisquilie comunque è come detto soldi non ne metto. Mi tengo il Br audio in vendita a 47eu su Amazon oggi

@stanzani Ho tentato di fare qualche comparazione con degli ascolti in cuffia, dopo mi sono dimenticato degli ascolti comparati ed ho lasciato andare questo fiume di musica e non sono riuscito a distaccarmi!

Una cosa favolosa, ho ascoltato fino alla fine del secondo atto ☺️☺️.
