È appena stata pubblicata una hotfix per la versione Windows  non cambia il numero di versione 

       . 

Hotfix for Windows version of HQPlayer 4 Desktop 4.18.0 to work around out of memory error with Intel CPUs when multicore-DSP is set to Auto or Disabled.

Quando c'è un nuovo aggiornamento tipo 4.xx.0, conviene sempre aspettare i piccoli aggiornamenti ulteriori, tipo 4.xx.y

Ho posto una domanda a Jussi riguardante lo USB key dongle:
All Pro, Desktop and Embedded versions have now support for USB key dongles. Does it mean that you are going to switch to this type of license protection soon? For version 5.x? For all of them?
 

Risposta:

It is an alternative for the hardware fingerprint, not replacement. I was a bit tired typing the release announcement. I have now reworded it. Since it incurs additional cost of 150 EUR (VAT 0%) / 186 EUR (VAT 24%) it is mostly suitable if you like to change your hardware frequently, as you don't then need to ask me for license key updates each time.

Since Desktop is not hardware locked in normal cases, it is not very useful there. But it is for Pro and Embedded.
 

For Embedded the small (black) one is used. And for Pro the bigger (blue) one. See my tweet for a picture.
