Concordo con chi ha scritto che nei negozi di strumenti musicali, in genere abbastanza forniti, non si colgono appieno le qualità di ciò che si ascolta ma sarà utile perlomeno per capire le differenze tra i vari diffusori. Forse è un' ovvietà ma consiglio, per esserci già passato, di portarsi dei brani in flac su smartphone e collegarlo direttamente ai diffusori con un cavetto jack-rca, meglio di nulla.

No, I would certainly not describe the A700's as cold or tiring to listen to, they are very musically and quite neutral out of the box. One of the main advantages with active speakers, is that you can change the tonality of it, so that it suits your taste better. It's like being able to change the crossover in a conventional passive speaker, and by that, changing the characteristics of the sound. On our speakers, we do that via Mastertuings, which are sound profiles you can load into the speakers, and in a few seconds, you have changed the overall sound of them. You can find the list of mastertunings available here, to give you an idea of what is possible:

Furthermore, if you go with the Platin hub bundle, you also have the option to apply EQ directly in the signal path, to further tweak the sound, should you want to.

Yes, the frequency response is reliable. The speakers can play very deep, which is again a result of being active, as we can control the drivers in a completely different way, than with passive speakers. This enables the speakers to play extremely deep at low to moderate volume, but when turning up the volume, the very low frequencies will slowly be cut out. This frees up more headroom for the speaker to play very loud, but gives you the low bass, when you are not throwing a party. So you get the most out of the drivers in all use cases, because of the intelligence of the DSP in the speakers.

If you want to keep you DAC, then the Primare bundle is the option for you. The Platin hub does not have any outputs, other than its wireless connection to the speakers, so connecting the Pontus 2 is not possible here.
The Primare SC15 has a digital output, that you can connect to your DAC, and then run XLR cables from the DAC to the speakers. 
However, if you want to keep your DAC, and don't want to use the speakers wirelessly, you can also buy our speakers as stand alone, then find a Pre, amp that you like, and connect that to the Pontus 2 Dac. The Primare SC15 is a great pre-amp, and it is bundled for an exceptional price, but you can use any Pre-amp you like in a setup like this, if the wireless connection is not important to you.
The main thing is that you get some kind of volume control for the speakers, as they will play at full blast, if not connected to a device that can control their volume.
On the product page of the A700's there is also a feature overview, telling you about the main differences between the Platin hub and the Primare bundles.

Questo in molti qui nel forum lo chiamerebero MyFy, condannandolo senza mezzi termini. A mio avviso è una delle ragioni (non la sola) che sancisce la superiorità di un sistema attivo dotato di DSP su un sistema tradizionale caratterizzato da un esborso pari e anche superiore, almeno fino ad una soglia non trascurabile.

@giaga non ne conoscevo nemmeno l'esistenza; tuttavia è sorprendente e incredibile la risposta in frequenza dichiarata delle A500:  25 - 40.000 Hz +/- 1.5dB...come hanno fatto con due wooferini da quindici centimetri ad arrivare a tanto...? Peraltro sono pure piccole...😕

se interpreto bene ciò che intendi direi di no ma direi che non ne ho visti in questo thread.

Al di fuori dello scherzo, a me piace l'approccio Buchardt dal punto di vista concettuale: puntare su un suono "tailored" ti permette di affrontare meglio anche il problema ambientale.

@giaga Purtroppo o per fortuna li vendono direttamente loro, non ci sono distributori o negozianti che poi inevitabilmente fanno lievitare i prezzi, di contro l’unico modo per poterli ascoltare è comprarli sfruttando i 45 giorni di prova, oppure andare a fare un viaggetto in Danimarca

@GasVanTar Le A700 hanno questa risposta in frequenza 17 - 40.000 Hz +/- 1.5dB (can change with mastertunings), ovviamente sono più grandi, oltre a chiederlo a loro, c’è un giornalista tedesco che è andato a fare tutte le misurazioni de caso, confermando quanto dichiarato dalla casa
